Glynis Strause

Glynis Holm Strause is a member of the Live Oak County Historical Commission and Live Oak Historical Foundation.  She has lived in Live Oak County since she was 18 months old and has learned to appreciate all that it has to offer.  After leaving the county to attend Howard Payne University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she returned to teach speech at Texas A & I before it changed its name! After 34 years of teaching and being an administrator at Coastal Bend College, twelve years ago she become Stakeholder Relations Director for the Eagle Ford for ConocoPhillips.   She was married to Tommy Strause until his death in 2010. They have two children and four grandchildren.
